Home or favorite faire I haven't got a "home faire" as such. The ones closest to me are in Kentucky and southern Ohio; the Kentucky faire seems a lot more "medieval friendly," although I haven't had the opportunity to really find out yet.

About Me I used to maintain a rather detailed blog/dress diary about my garb and other needlework projects... until I realized that no one wanted to read about it and all I was doing on the rare occasions when someone DID take a look was offending some stranger who found the very concept of medieval garb at a RENAISSANCE festival abhorrent. (It's okay to dress like people from 150 years AFTER the Renaissance, but Thou Shalt Not wear a cotehardie or bliaut...)

TV I actually watch television now... My favorite shows (that I watch week-by-week) are Bones and Eleventh Hour. I also like Heroes, but I wait for the whole season to come out on dvd.

Books Still waiting for Dean Koontz to write that third Christopher Snow novel. Still waiting for C. J. Cherryh to write a sequel to Diplomatic Immunity. Still waiting for the next Preston and Child novel about Special Agent Pendergast, but at least I know that one will be out in the summer of '09. I'm NOT a fan of the Twilight series, although I do appreciate its lack of the genre's usual obligatory gratuitous sex scenes (which, for this genre, is not the oxymoron that it seems).

Hobbies sewing/embroidery (including but not limited to making garb for myself and friends), reading, some cooking and gardening

Vices I'm a redhead - you figure it out... Actually, my biggest vice (as I see it on the days when I'm sane) is that I'm impatient with people. I've also been told that I have "the social skills of a slightly dead hedgehog," but I can't confirm or deny that, having never tried to have a conversation with any kind of hedgehog in order to test the comparison.

Virtues I'm a redhead - you figure it out... Intelligence, if you consider that a virtue. (I live in a state where it is more often than not considered a character flaw.) Perserverence - but only in some things.
